Sir James McKay House

July 19th 2013, the brethren of Lodge Kirknewton and Ratho 85 host lunch for ten residents and their carers from Sir James McKay House after their day out taking a trip on the barge at Ratho. 

After enjoying the sunshine whilst taking a short barge trip along the Union canal at Ratho, ten residents and their carers make the short trip to Lodge Kirknewton and Ratho where they are warmly welcomed by Bro. Ian Harrower, RWM, his good lady Liz and several brethren of the lodge. 

Once seated the residents and their carers enjoyed a buffet lunch, light refreshments, tea and coffee. After lunch Bro. Charlie Davey proposed a most eloquent toast thanking Bro, Ian Harrower, his good lady Liz and his team for the excellent lunch they had enjoyed. 

In reply to Bro. Davey's eloquent toast Bro. Harrower replied by saying it had been the lodges pleasure to host the residents and looked forward to hosting them, again, in the future 

A nice thank-you card to the Lodge was presented to Bro. Harrower on behalf of the residents which he gratefully accepted on behalf of the brethren of Lodge Kirknewton and Ratho 85. ​
