Bro. George Tyler pm

The RWM paid another visit to Bro. George Tyler P.M. on 21st July. RWM is delighted to report Bro. George was his usual good humoured self.

Five meals a day (well three with two tea breaks which include cakes and/or biscuits) have certainly seen Bro. George put the weight back on he had lost during his extended hospital stay.

But Bro. George is still very much mobile, escorting RWM from the premises at the conclusion of the visit. With Bro. George’s permission the RWM took this picture of Bro. George who is still delighted to receive visitors as and when they are able and sends his best regards to all.

Bob Duff Bowling Trophy

Sunday 3rd July saw the annual Bob Duff trophy bowling tournament between our nearest neighbours Kirkliston Maitland 482 and Kirkliston bowling club. Lodge Kirknewton & Ratho was well represented as we again helped the Masons lose to the bowlers. A friendly sociable event where once again the trophy needn't be disturbed from the trophy cabinet. Our own IPM is pictured leading the Ratho boys to, well not victory but to the wee white ball at the other end. Thanks to Bro.Les Duff HM for organising and for the invite.

Bro. George Tyler pm

Brother George Tyler pm is now out of hospital and is awaiting a space at a nearby care home. George is back to his usual self and reminiscing about the good old days. He is able to walk with the aid of a walker (trolley with wheels) and welcomes visitors. We wish George continued health and look forward to celebrating his 92nd birthday with him in November.
